Web Developers (lead & junior)
FOG.com is currently on the lookout for self-motivated and driven individuals to join our team of
talented and enthusiastic web developers in the North-East of England. We are looking for both
lead and junior developers, so whether you are fresh out of university, or are applying with years of
industry experience, you may be considered for a role within our hard-working and ambitious web
development team.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new features for FOG.com, partner sites and conceive new projects from the ground up
- To collaborate with team members, management and other individuals and teams within the FOG office to deliver high-calibre work whilst adhering to strict deadlines
- Isolate and correct bugs across a number of projects
- Work independently, designing and delivering solutions in a fast paced work environment within a small and focused team
Essential skills:
- Fluent in PHP and other Object Oriented languages and experience with JavaScript/jQuery
- Experience in working with PHP MVC frameworks and patterns
- Experience of working with large volume relational databases, such as MySQL
- Service orientated and committed to improving brand reputation
- Enthusiasm to acquire new skills and work in a rapidly changing environment
- Good team work and communication skills
- Able to work productively with minimum supervision
- Ability to work to a high standard, within scheduled constraints
- Ability to schedule own tasks realistically
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent level of personal organisation and professionalism
Desirable skills:
- Experience developing and maintaining APIs
- Experience of developing mobile websites and applications

FOG.com is currently on the lookout for ambitious individuals to join our team of talented and enthusiastic game developers in the North-East of England. We are looking for both lead and junior developers, so whether you are fresh out of university, or are applying with years of industry experience you may be considered for a role within our ever expanding games studio.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Game development from conception to release of browser based games, mobile (iOS & Android) games and other platforms
- To act in both lead and support developer roles on projects, liaising between project managers, graphic designers and other developers
- To identify future trends in game technology and other related areas and use these trends to advantage
Essential skills:
- Strong OO language knowledge
- 2D and 3D game development
- Understanding of Object Oriented Programming and design patterns
- Enthusiasm to acquire new skills and work in a rapidly changing environment
- Good team work and communication skills
- Able to work productively with minimum supervision
- Ability to work to a high standard, within scheduled constraints
- Ability to schedule own tasks realistically
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent level of personal organisation and professionalism
